yep its thursday again..can you believe it...my god these weeks just keep rolling along at such a pace dont they.  i think they need to slow down to let us catch up...

Anywho.....what was I here for...o yes.....Stitching!!!!
now I have gone the faux stitching route on my card as well....quite frankly its justtoo much effortto go out into the shed to find my sewing machine, then drag it inside, set it up, blah blah blah i'm sure you get the picture...so much easier to just punch some holes and drag out the white gel pen and presto....stitching lol
Here is my effort...

i have used the beautiful  Willow, isnt she gorgeous in her summer of love garb!
papers are Kaiser craft Lush 6x6 pad, as is the tag.
willow is coloured with copics.

Cute as a Button!!!

Buttons buttons buttons....do you have a stash somehwere?  i bet you do..and I have the perfect challenge to use them on because over at Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge the theme this week is BUTTONS!!!

Now i had big plans for using buttons but it kind of went by the wayside...lol
You see I have been dying...dying i tell you to create a card using the headshot technique with the Lil Lolita digi stamps.  So I got to printing and colouring and decided to use the ultra bright and gorgeous DeLovely papers by Cosmo cricket (*warning sunglasses may be required*) then created my card.  I then wentthrough my rather dismal button stash onlyto find I really didnt have any buttons to match...eek!!

So this is the best i came up with....maybe next time i should choose the buttons before I pick the paper...lol

So come on dig out your button stash and ink up your pretty girl and get creating!!!

And this week we are also helping Operation Write home celebrate their birthday.

For all us non- americans heres a bit about them.

Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong!
They do have a few strict guidelines to follow so you migt want to go check them out.

Our second challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.
Anyone creating a card and sending it to one of the OWH addresses will be entered in a special drawing to win this fabulous prize, as well as being entered into our regular weekly drawing for this week's Mo Manning Gift Certificate: (please leave us a comment in the comment section of this post to let us know you sent out your card so you can be entered!)
You can see the extra prize over at Stamptacular!!

Anywho on with my card.

Image is 'Tea Party' by Mo Manning.
I coloured her with copics and sorry didnt write them down.
Thats what happens whenyou color in the wee hours of the morning..you forget these things lol.

Spring Spring Spring

Well today didnt start off very promising but by this arvo it was glorious outside and it got me in a creative mood!!  So I have created another Spring card for the competition over at Bizzy Bec's.
have you entered into this month competition yet??  if not why not??
you can find it here.

here is my creation from today.  Its based on a T-slider card but with a little touch of me.  LOL

And this is what it looks like when the slider is open.

i made the message as a mat rather than a bit that slides out.
because i forgot to cut the slit before i glued it all down...shh..dont tell anyone lol
(plus I need to remember to put something plain behind my cards instead of the kitchen bench lol)

Gorgeous image is a Bildamalarna, yummy Die-cut border is a Magnolia doohickey and other die cut is a Nestabilitie labels 12, all available from Bizzy Bec's.
Flowers, leaves and pearl sprays are also from Bizzy Bec's.

image is coloured with copics, but i didnt take note of colours sorry.

So go on make a Spring card and go enter it NOW over at Bizzy Bec's!!
theres a great voucher to the shop to win.
think of all the yummy supplies you can buy!!!
