Hide and seek..

is the order of the day over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week.  Yes we wantto see you created something that has a hidden feature.  Could be as simple as a tag hiding with a sentiment on it, or a wonderous creation with something hidden inside?  Maybe some yummy somethings??  LOL

Birthday Blog Candy

Its a Birthday surprise.....

i have used the yummy new Cupcake papers from Kaiser...isnt it bright and gorgeous.  i have added lots of sparkle as well.

i have used the super sweet new Tilda needs a hug from the Fall kit.  It is now up for pre-order at Magnolialicious.

Papers are from the yummy Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses 6x6 pad.
Cardstock is SU rose red.
Swirl is a Mgnolia Doohickey die.
Roses, and all of the above products are all available from Bizzy Bec's.
Tilda is coloured with copics and her dress is paper pieced.

Its a colour challenge this week

over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!!!  Orange, Lime Green, White/Cream and Plum Purple. Oh, and as an added bonus in celebration of Halloween...feel free to add the color BLACK too! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CREATE A HALLOWEEN CARD OR PROJECT TO ENTER THIS CHALLENGE! …Oh, and don’t forget to STAMP! Afterall, we don’t call this STAMPtacular Sunday for nothing!


Now seeing as we dont really celebrate Halloween here in Australia, (although the shops seem to be getting more and more into it every year, but not sure its really catching on) i went with the non- halloween option in creating my card.

Its sketch time at Lil Lolitas

Yep this week we have a sketch for you to try your skills on at Lil Lolitas Boutique challenge.

i have used the super cute, super fun lovin Hippie Willow.  Dont tell the other Lil Lolitas but i think she is my favourite gal! (*wink*)

 i have to say I'm a bit annoyed that the fence didnt stamp off 100% but o well thats what you get sometimes and its just too bad!!

Picnic box with tutorial

Ok so I know its not sunday and lately I just seem to be coming up with excuse after excuse as to being late on sunday sbut seriously i dont know where my weekends go.  This weekend was a nightmare at work and Monday was hubbies 40th birthday and well....life is just too darn busy atm...so i apologise for being late yet again with my Stamptacular Sunday Challenge post.  Eek Miss Cill is going to fire me for sure...lol!!


Anywho the challenge this week is to create anything but a card!!  So get your thinking caps on and create something spectacular because the prize this week is a bag of goodies from lil old me!!  and also 4 digital images from Meljen's Designs!  Wowsers hey!!!

ok here is my OTP.  And after i have even put up instructions on how to create your own!

Isnt it the sweetest little picnic box??  i have used two Tildas from the Cozy Autumn collection!  Both coloured with copics and the paper is Cosmo Cricket.

ok now here is the instructions!!

Cut the following pieces out of cardstock.

1: Handle: 2cm x 30 cm.

2: Yoke: 2cm x 18 cm. On this I scored a line 4 cm in from each side.

3: The box: 18 x 22 cm. On This I score a line 4 cm in from every side. Then cut in along the score lines on the long sides til you meet the next score line so you end up with flaps that you then fold in to form the box.

4. Cover: 20.5 x 10.5 cm. On this you need to score at 3cms and then 9cms from each end.   you should end up with a 2cm section in the middle.  this is where you attach it to the yoke a bit later.  i also used a corner rounder on my ends but this is not necessery.

I would then put the patterned paper on at this point while its easier. You wont need to decorate the yoke bit as you wont see it.

Fold the flaps in on the box and glue to form the base box. Find the centre of the box sides and glue on the yoke piece so that it runs across the middle of the box.

Then you need to attach the lid to your box.  The middle section of your lid gets glued to the yoke.
 
You can then attach the handle.  You can either glue the handle or attch with brads if you want it to move. 
 
And thats it!!  Now decorate to your hearts content!!  And fill with something yummy like chocolates.
 
i'm using mine to give to my daughters teacher as a small christmas gift filled with yummy chocolates and candy canes.

Woohoo my FAll kit arrived yesterday and I didnt think i would get a chance to ink them up straight away but last night I made the time...lol.  who needs sleep right??  I hear its very over rated in any case!  LOL

O I get to use the gorgeous new man in town for my creation this week for Lil Lolita Boutique Challenges.
this weeks challenge is to use skulls on your creation.

Now I have take the style of the bookmark holders that Kellie has been making and have used it for my card front.  felt a bit strange creating a long skinny card instead of a square card.

Sunday yet again...

boy these weeks are just rolling around arentthey...bit scary really how quickly this year is flying past.

i have used copics to colour her with....now I did do her skin normal colour (E11, E00, E000) but then thought she was just too cute to spook so i ghoulished her up a bit by going over her skin with G00.  I think it worked a treat.  what do you think?? and with her G14 eyes i think she is going to be the rockingest chick at the ghoul party!!
i have used Cosmo Cricket papers, and the house is a clip art one I found and printed on the Orange paper which is from Basic grey.  the cobweb and bat were cut on my cricut.

Layers of Grunge.....

Ok fess up...who stole sunday???  one day it was saturday and I went on a glorious drive with my family to the beautiful copper Coast (in SA).  Spent the day in the wonderful spring sun, playing on every playground we could find. had the best day!!
then woke up the next morning having to once again toddle off to work.  had the day from hell, came home, fed and bathed everyone and promptly went to bed!!!
then woke up this morning and realised ...damn i forgot yesterday was Sunday.  maybe it was the change to daylight savings time that confused me......maybe i was in a state of euphoria still from my wonderful saturday.....in anycase sunday came and went and I missed it!!!
Missed announcing to you all that the Stamptacular Sunday challenge is for you all to use layers on your creations.  At least 5!!!  Easy Peasy for me as i LOVE layering!!!  And the prize this week is the winners choice of a single stamp from the Greeting FArm!

Now i"m also using this card to announce the October competition over at Bizzy Bec's.  this month we want to see all your grunginess on your cards. DT Member Narelle has kindly donated some gorgeous GOODIES this month..Valued At $30.. Competition is open till the end of October..Now I really struggled with this and still think i completely missed the mark...lol.  but PROMISE to do better with my next creation.  i think I'm a bit confused between distressing and grunge..there is a fine line I think.  Maybe you can show me your craetions to help me clear it up.!!!

Anywho here is my card after all of that!!

Now to make my card 'grunge' I really tried to ink up everything!!  But still think its a bit clean.....lol

O yummy mail came today!!!

My new Maggies!!! Woot Woot!!   I love getting new stuff it just kind of gives the ol mojo a kick up the backside...lol.
So much so I just had to ink them up and get cracking!!!   This is card number one....number two is only half done.  Will have to finish it tomorrow.  Too tired now cant colour inside the lines..lol
