A new card at last..

This flu/bronchitis has knocked me for a bit of a sixer.  So have no felt like doing anything!!
But I made myself drag out my pens and ink and paper and thought..getto it woman and stop feeling sorry for yourself.
So i went through my blog feed sand picked two challenges to try and get me motivated.
i choose to do the sketch from sketch saturday and combine it with the new totally tilda challlenge whose theme is chocolate..ahh every girls dream...lol
So here is what i came up with.

I have used copics to colour Tilda with.

Everything else E37, 35, 33, 31.

Papers are BAsic grey Cappella 6x6 papers and Collage press.

Butterfly is a joy craft die cut

Brown swirls is a marianne designs die cut.

Evie meets monotone!!!

I got my sweet Evie stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps yesterday and even though I am dying with the flu and bronchitis I just had to ink her up.
Now I have been seeing lots of images coloured in monotone, and amm loving them and have to admit i have been too scared to try it.
But last night...i bit the bullet!!!  And I have to say it wasnt anywhere near as daunting or scary as I thought it would be.  I'm a bit chuffed with myself actually.  Quite like how it turned out for my first attempt!!!

It was supposed to be for the Lil Lolita challenge to use blue and I used last weeks friday sketchers sketch.  But missed those two deadlines.

A friend asked me to make her a sympathy card for a dear friend of hers that she had been friends with since they were about 5.  So many many years.  Her mother had just unexpectedly passed away.
wow I kind of struggle with this one.  wasnt really sure if i could pull it off.
This is what i came up with.  What do you think??  Would really love to know as I have been asked to make sympathy cards before but kind of always got out of it.

Theres a hole in there...

but thats ok..there is meantto be..lol  Because the challenge this week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is to create a project with an Apeture.  Or in other words..a hole!!!  Now there is lots of ways you can achieve this and how ever you choose is fine just as long as there is a hole!!!

I have created two cards for this challenge.

This first one use the gorgeous new Tilda with her umbrella from the new Wedding Collection.

I have paper pieced her dress with some Kaiser paper and the rest is coloured with copics.

The pink background paper is from LYB clothesline collection.  Flower is a prima one and that gorgeous swirl I got in a swap I was recently in.

Ok my second card is a bit different for me.

I have cut out the scalloped circle with a large scallopped circle nestie but have used the negative not the actual die cut.  i then place a doiley behind it and popped CC designs 'Honey' on top.

The swirl is a sizzlets one I dug out of my stash.

Flower Girls...

I'm in an ATC swap on a group I belong to.  They had to be 3 ATC's with a theme. 

Seeing as I just received my wedding Magnolia stamps order from Bizzy Bec's I thought I would do flower girls! 

Two of the Maggie girls i have used are from the new wedding collection and the other (holding the tulips in her lap) Is from an older collection that I got from Bizzy Bec's customers choice order.

I have given each of them a nice flower quote.

You know the ones when there are just not enough hours in your day to do what you want and when you do get a spare 5 minutes you are just too physically and emotionally exhausted to be creative.  Well thats my week so far, and then I get asked to make a baby card.  Sure I say as I just cant say NO..its not in my nature I swear, although at times I wish it was...lol.
Ok Baby girl card..no probs...when did you want it.....umm tomorrow.  YIKES!!!!  Ok.....this was Sunday...so sunday night, while holding my eyes open with toothpicks (I swear) i finished this card off.  I have used the sketch from sketch saturday from about 3 weeks ago!!

Paper is an old MM one that is a diecut paper and was keeping because I love it, but I have such a stash of all these 'good' papers that i seriously do need to start using them up.

CS is from Stampin Up...not sure on the colours.

Here is my effort for this week. I apologise for the pretty average image but its been one cold wet dreary week here in south Australia so no great natural light in which to capture a decent image.

i have used the extremely new Hanglar baby images.  Isnt she just super cute!!!

i have made the pram out of a circle that I just cut a quater out of.  Super easy!

the gorjuss butterflies I have used as my bugs came courtesy of a wonderful friend all the way from Norway!!   they are MArieKaren Clip Laser cut buutterflies and they are gorjuss I tell ya, just gorjuss!!

The 'lace'trim i used on the pram are the edges from a square doily!!  that and the pearl string are available from Bizzy Bec's!!  Love the square doilys and they are a bit of a must have atm!!

Magnolialicious Birthday bash Challenge 4

Yay I have eventually gotten around to getting something done for the Magnolia-licious birthday bash.
I have joined in their fourth challenge which is to make an easel card with a stamp that has yet to see ink.

i have to admit I have a few of them...lol.  But you know how it is you get your favourites and you just seem to use them again and again and yet others, which you still love, but somehow they just get shoved to the bottom and you neglectthem.

Pretty great sketches hey!!!

I like sketches that give you a lot of scope to add your own interpretation...iykwim...lol

Ok and here are my cards I have made with the sketches.

Tilda with Umbrella uses SU cardstock and LYB clothesline range paper.

I have used snowflakes cuttlebug embossing folder and Doiley from Bizzy Becs.

Flowers, leaves, stars and flower fillers are also from Bizzy Becs.

Now the little stars in the corners started out life as white ones...but i coloured them with copics to match in with my card. Pretty cool hey!!

Tilda is also coloured with copics.  Sorry i didnt write down which ones, but i dont have many so could guess if you really want to know.

Ok second sketch.....

For this one I have used Tilda and Edwin ice skating.

Carstock is SU and paper is Collage Press 'Camden' range 6x6 pad.

Lace is from my stash as are the flowers.

Tilda and Edwin are coloured using copics.
