Can you sew??

Well thats the challenge this week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!!

(if you are looking for the Christmas card blog hop its the post below this one!!)

For this week’s challenge at SSC you will create a card or project for someone special…but…there’s a catch! You MUST include some sort of sewn effect. You can do this any way you wish…faux or real…you choose.
Now I did drag out the old sewing machine for this one!.  it was lucky I had used it only a short while ago so it was all still threaded up ready to go...or should that be sew...LOL

I have used the UBER gorgeous 'Lady Tilda' from the new Magnolia Spring kit.  Isnt she just beautiful!!  If you would like to pre-order her you can get pre-order her from Diana over at Magnolialicious if you are in the US, or from Bec at  Bizzy Bec's if you are in Australia.

I have paper pieced her dress using this gorgeous paper from TCP Studio.
I have used Chocolate chip and Close to Cocoa (retiring soon!) cardstock from SU.
Sentiment is from The new Swiss Pixies kit at All that scraps.

Tildas skin is coloured with copics E11, E00, E000 and R20.
Rose is using RV29, R20, YG 67, 63

Flowers and leaves are from Bizzy Bec's.
Ribbons are from my stash.

TFL

And I hope to see your creation soon!

Time for another Christmas blog hop

Yes its the 25th of the month again!!  can you belive it??  The year is just flying past yet again
But it also means its time for another Magnolialicious All year long xmas blog hop!!
Now if you have just happened along to my blog you really should go back to the start, which is Julie Glasgow's blog, so you dont miss any of the gorgeous cards along the way.  But if you are here from Lauren's blog then you are on the right track!
Now here is my card.

Now I have used  '#3003 Santa's Little Helper'.   And Diana has her in stock!!!!  And I have also used 'Christmas letter" and 'Merry Christmas post label".

Paper is by SU, cardstock is plain kraft and ribbon is from my stash.

Now its time to dash off to see what beautiful creation Lisa has for you all to see.

Bizzy Bec's design team

Now I know i broke this news to you yesterday but it was an extremely short post as Wednesdays are back to being a bit of a fizzer around her.  just crazy stuff with kids, school, sports, work etc.  it all just seems to all gather up and dump itself on hump day then we roll down the week to the weekend...lol iykwim.  I'm waffling sorry.

Anywho....Bizzy Bec's is an online store that sells all things for us crafty minded people out there in cyber world.  She sells the most gorgeous flowers, that yummy flower soft stuff that just makes everything that little bit fancier, spellbinder dies, cuttlebug folders, copic pens, doilies!! (OMG and dont we all love them at the moment!) and thats just to mention a few things!
But mostly she sells the most gorgeous STAMPS!!!  Magnolias (have you got your fairytale pre-order in?? ), Whiff of Joy, Sarah Kay, Gillian Roberts, CC Designs and coming soon...Sweet Pea stamps!!!
You just must wander over there and have a gander.  And Bec has the most brilliant service...and I'm speaking from MUCH experience here (just dont tell hubby!!  LOL).

A new Helper...God help me.....

Ok no wI know some of you know that my girl likes to create cards wwith me and has even got her own blog now....but GOD HELP ME...I think i may have another artistic talent in the family...although I think he might be more of a make-up artiste!!!
He was very quiet, and for anyone who has got or had little boys...when things go quiet somethings up!!
I wandered into the loungeroom to find my boys both innocently watching TV and thought...nope they have done something.  I say to them...what are you doing and my youngest one turns to me looking like this.

He had found my Pinecone versacube ink.  And obviously ittasted good!!
believe me it wasnt just over his face it was in his mouth all up his arms and all over his t-shirt and legs!

But doesnt he look proud of himself!!!
Little rat-bag!!
Mind you my ink now works really well when before it seemed to be drying out.  So maybe all it needed was a bit of bubba spit and its all good.  Who knew!!
Mr Flyn did ......and he was just helping his mummy out!!

thanks Mr F!!

And just because the others will get jealous their mugs arent displayed for all to see here they are shots from today!

Mad For Markers challenge

Have you all heard that there is a new site here in Australia that is specialising in Copic MArkers.  Well if you havent i'm here to tell you there is!!  Its Called Mad for Markers.
Now they also have a blog that is full on tips and tricks to do with copics!
And they are having there first colour challenge.  read all about it here!

Now i dont have the correct colours that they are asking for, but I'm using the next best thing and hope that its ok.

They have asked for BG15   R20 and E00.  Now the R20 and the E00 is not a problem but the closest I have to BG15 is BG09.  Actually the only BG I own.  I dont have many copics but Im working on it!!

Anywho....on with my card.  Now I know you are all probably getting sick on seeing Fairytale Tilda and I promise this will be my last card with her for the time being.  Just when I rememberedabout this challenge I already had this one stamped off I just needed to colour it so there you go lol.

Now the copics I have used are as follows:

Dress & Leaves : BG09
Frog : G00, G02
Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20
Roses: R20, RV29
Hair Ribbons: RV29, RV000
Hair: Y08, Y06, Y11

paper is old making memories, cardstock is SU
Sentiment is SU and flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts, with the exception of the purple roses, they are from Scrapbooking Stock.

Now all that brown was seriously not meant to be there, but i dropped my pinecone ink pad onto the white and I have tried to 'fix' it and I use that term loosely.  I had to try something as my E000 has run out and I cant re-do the image.  So what will be will be.

TFL and sorry about all my waffling..I just cant seem to stop myself..lol

Just Magnolia and a rain card to boot

As soon as I saw this 'doiley' punch technique on Claudia's blog I just knew I wanted to try it.
Then I saw the challenge over at Just Magnolia and thought how perfect!!  Punch perfect!!  LOL
So here is my attempt at a home made doiley using the Martha Stewart double loop punch.
Papers are Basic Grey (one of their Xmas ones) and the new Cosmo cricket Material girl.
Lace is a gorgeous Prima one.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.
Have used Spellbinders fancy labels for the tag and the sentiment is from SU.

And my gorgeous Fairytale Tilda Is from the soon to be released Fairytales range.  I got mine early from the wonderful Diana over at Magnolia-licious.
Tilda is coloured in with a mix of Copics for the skin (E11, E00, E000, and R20) and for the frog (YG67, YG63 and G21).  The frog has also been covered in dimensional magic.
And Pencils with OMS for the rest.  I dont use any fancy pencils either....just the regular kids faber castell ones from any Kmart.  i find they work great!  The OMS melts them perfectly.
And lots of Kindy glitz on her wings!!

Now this is one of my rain cards that Im sending out so if you are looking, and in the rain group, its a bit of pot luck as to whether you will get this one...or not!!   LOL.  I just put them in envelopes then address them so i dont know who gets what either!.

Anywho...TFL.

I loved this challenge so much that I actually created a second example.
This time I used an Kraftin Kimmie stamp.

Now the recipe on this one...lol.
i will try and remember.
Coloured again with copicsa nd again i will be back with numbers.
Cardstock and sentiment is from SU
Swirl stamp is a magnolia one.
The green paper with flowers is October afternoon, black with white spots is KAiser.
Not sure on the main green one.

Spellcaster Tilda

<
Great name for this new Miss Tilda. She has certainly cast her spell on me! She is from the new Pirates and Fairytales collection. They should be available to pre-order from lots of places soon. I got mine from Magnolialicious. Diana was so great and got some in for us super dooper early...and they all went like a flash as you can probably imagine!!

Anywho...I have made this card for a few challenges this week. 3 I think is the count. Probably more out there but I didnt write them down. Silly me!

First challenge off the ranks is one for MAgnolia Down Under who wanted real or fake stitching! I actually dragged out the real sewing machine. i know!! Wowsers hey!! i dont know who got the biggest shock...me or the sewing machine...and once all the dust was removed...cough cough....it sewed like a dream!

Second challenge is for Simon SAys stamp. whose challenge is to distress! Easy peasy I love distressing!! i have used my trusty scissors to scrapped the cardstock and also have used my fav pinecone ink to ink distress as well. o how I love thee Mr Pinecone!!

Third Challenge was a sketch from Cute stamps and cards. My first time entering one of these challenges butthe sketch created by the lovely Claudia just screamed at me to use it...so i did ..lol.

And on with my creation.

I used very much the same papers as from my last card because they were still sitting out on my desk and i do love purple and green together.

And of course its and easel card because i just love them!! But OMG they are hard to take photos of! Here is my best shot. And my rosebuds werent quite dry and shifted...grrr!! But all fixed now

Ok Nitty Gritty
Papers are KAiser 'Garden arabesque', Basic Grey 'Wisteria", and Making memories range from yonks ago, think it was Olivia or Hannah or something like that.
Spellbinders petite scalloped large ovals , lattice borders and label 4.
Basic grey pearls, SU and CC designs sentiments.
Flowers and ribbon from my stash and leaves were cut on cricut using storybook cartridge.

Spellcaster Tilda was coloured using Copics for skin E11, E00 and E000
and pencils with OMS for the rest.
