Smacks wrist....bad blogger

O my....I just seen the date on my last entry. Where has June gone??? Have I really not undated in all this time??? I blame the girls at TSH for all the wonderful daily challenges they have been dishing out. By the time I get home from work i have roughly 1.5 hours to do the daily challenge before i have to pick Kloe up from school. Sometimes i can get it done and other times i'm left procrastinating about it.
So what else has been happening in my life for the month of June. Well quite honestly, not much...SSDD is the order of the days.
For the queens birthday we went for a BBQ with some old friends at Barrows Beach. it kind of felt weird aas we have really had nothing to do with them for probably well over a year and we have all moved on in different directions and there was not much conversation flowing iykwim. I spent most of the afternoon playing and go ing for walks on the beach. And of course taking photos!!! Kloe had a great time and Scotts words were. " Well that was interesting!! Wont be in a big rush to do that again!!" it was ok. i had a great time going for the walks up the beach. Walking in the ankle deep soft sand was hard work and was a good work out!!
We got home with about 10 mins to spare to watch the news, scotts favourite pasttime. dad rang just as we got in the door wanting to know if I had heard from my brother. i said i had just got in and he said well you had better ring him before you watch the news. i was busy and kind of forgot until scott said, "come and watch this, there was a accident in Pirie today and someone was killed" I started to watch and as soon as I saw the car i thought, "O NO!!", my heart leapt into my throat and my stomach started to instantly churn, i wasnt even listening to the story. i was looking frantically for my mobile. 7 missed calls from my brother. i rang him straight away. He knew instantly that i had seen the news. He reassured me straight away that our friend Stuart was fine and it was the guy on the motorbike that had been killed. still not great but, such a tradgedy for the boys family, but i did feel better that it wasnt our friend. is that awful???. we have since found out that the guy on the motorbik was drunk and was doing an estimated speed of between 150 and 180 kms per hour. on a town street at 1.30 in the afternoon. stuart and Amanda were coming back from doing some shopping. they were less than 500m's from home. Stuart is a mess and has gone to stay with Amandas parents in Kadina for awhile. i spoke with warren on Thursday and he said that Stuart wasnt coping at all. i dont blame him.

O my I just noticed the time. i'm off to the slave and grind.....will try and finish off my June in review entry when i get home.

A day of ups and downs....

Yesterday...What a day!!! was one of those rollercoaster days when quite frankly you would just rather step off for awhile and let someone else enjoy(?) the ride.
It started out fine, although I'm still so not use to getting kloe ready for school. Its just something i dont normally do. Under normal circumstances I drag her out of bed about 5 mins before i need to leave, throw all her stuff in the car and take her up mums, but with mum being indisposed again (read in her second home, otherwise known as the port pirie hospital), I have to get her ready before dropping her off to dad, who then has to fight with her to eat something. Is it possible for a 6 year old to have an eating disorder?? i mean she is in no way skinny but she never eats anything. i dont know how she survives on the tinsy bit she does eat. But my god i dont know how my mum gets her dressed and her hair done before its time for her to go to school. My mum needs a medal i think!! Shes a nightmare!!! As if i need more stress in my life!!
Anyway with that out of the way, work was pretty normal!! i arrived home and went straight on the computer to try and get ROBBIE WILLIAMS tickets. After two hours of continuously pressing the retry button, I eventually got on!! YEA!!! So Scott and i are now the proud owners of two red hot ga Gold tickets to see that gorgeous hunk of a man!!! WOOHOO!!! Sorry julie if you are ready this!! But YAHOO!!!!!!!!! That definately saw the day take an upturn.
Then i had a funeral to go to which is horrid at the best of times. i never really knew the man but he was the father of my ex-sister-in-law. i still see her on a regular basis, so it just seemed the right thing to do.
i then got home to possibly the worst news. i got an email from Kyrs at SM to say that my LO that had been accepted to be published in their magazine had not arrived at its destination. O NO!!! i scrambled to find my postal receipt to find out what day I had posted it. MAy 7th. Not Good!! even if aussie post was using the camel train to sydney it hould have arrived by now. My LO is lost in the bowels of aussie postland. O NO!! Could there be a worse hell??? How can they loose a pizza box??? Isnt it big enough??? I could understand a letter or even a really tiny parcel...but a pizza box??? I cant even go down and speak to our local post office until monday. LAst night was an evening of devastation!!! I couldnt sleep, I was so miffed and upset.

But saturday came to my rescue and I was off to Adelaide. No not to visit my friends at REPROMED. they were not in for a visit!! Thank god!! It was to do some fabulous classes at Scrapbbok Station under the guidance of the ever so wonderful Steph!! (and i promise Steph I wont post the pics, although I did pass the waving one onto Chrissy and Tracey!) these are the awesome pages she taught us today. thanks for making my saturday so much better than my friday!!!

The bestest week....

Well i have to say i'm am coming out of the bestest week I have had in a long , long, long time. it started with monday with a very rare occurance. All three of us had the day off!! Kloe had a student free day, scott had a rostered day,and I took a day off!! Wow this like never happens!. We decided to make the most of it and spend the day together. We ended up going for a drive down the coast to Wallaroo, Moonta Bay, Port Hughes and Wallaroo. It was just so nice to get away from all the hassles and just have a day of nothingness. So decadent I know but it was fantastic!!

It did put me a couple of days behind in the daily challenges I've been doing but that was ok because I had my normal day off on wednesday and this is the first wednesday in I dont remember how long that i never had to go to adelaide or get BT's done or anything!! it was great!!! just did the regular normal things, like catch up on my daily challenges!!! LOL, at least I have my priorities straight!!!
Then on saturday I had the day off again!! OMG!!! 3 days in one week!!! Never heard of unless i've coughed up a lung or something similar!! What did I do on saturday???
I went scrapbooking!!! What else?? Went to Wirrabara with some local ladies for our monthly get together and crop!! It was fantastic and so relaxing. its just a pity its so far away and along a real dirt track to get there! i could have stayed all night but as mum had Kloe and she still is not the best I only stayed until 4pm, but did manage to get nearly4 pages done. How thrilled was I with that!! Over the moon I tell you!! i even scrapped photos that werent of Kloe!! Believe it or not!! Well two of them were, but the other two werent. I have decided to scrap some photos of some of her friends so she can look back in years to come and see who her friends were. Should be fun!! Dont know how long it will last but hey the sentiment at the moment is there!!

Ok must go do my challenge for today. Dont want to get behind with only a couple of days to go. How will I cope with next month without having something so encouraging to drive me on?? One really great thing about it all is how much of my stash i have used up. Its been an amazing clean out month!!

bad blogger...

Ok i have been a very bad blogger and have not been updating but i honestly have had nothing positive to say and i really dont want this to be all depressing and the like or no one will ever come back and read about my o so boring life. Well if you are a follower you will probably have guessed by now that my treatment didnt work , but now they are doing some really nasty invasive investigations to try and figure out if there is some other cause other than my already diaognosed PCOS. Not nice and i will keep all the nasty details to myself other than last thursday i had a camera shoved where a camera was never designed to go. Ouch is all i'm saying!! You can picture the rest yourselves!! They also want us to seriuosly consider another form of treatment. To get onto this new program i have to take a few months of to get all the current drugs out of my system, before i start on the new lot. the new treatment is bit more expensive and i'm not sure what to do..........

But on a much lighter note I have been thoroughly enjoying the daily challenges that have been happening over at TSH. i cant wait to get my email in the morning before I head off to work.
i dream about what i'm going to do with the challenge when I get home and when i do get home I cant wait to dive in and find the right photo and start creating. I havent created so many pages in a month before ever!! its been totally exhilerating, although many things that i should be doing i'm not, because I'm too busy scrapping!! All of my challenges i've been creating can be found here!! was suppose to be doing a class in adelaide this weekend run by the fabulous Steph but I have had to cancel..boo hoo...and now have to wait til June to start some classes with her. i cant wait though!!

O yea and if everyone hasnt heard....the totally gorgeous ROBBIE WILLIAMS is coming to adelaide!! I cant believe it and cant wait!! December 5th..woohoo!!! Now the biggest trick of all is to be able to get tickets!! Its going to be at AAMI stadium which should hold about 40,000 or so, so with fingers crossed i should be able to get tickets. they go on sale on june 7th. i have the computer booked for that day. everyone stay away from me about 9am until you hear me scream with joy!!!!

Yep you read right..I have scrapped....so thought i had lost me mojo!! Thought the DS antibiotics had also killed my groove but i seem to have found it!!! And surprise surprise, i'm even in the photo..well kind of!!! LOL :o)


O yea and trust me..its all straight IRL. its just my scanner thats a bit drunk!!!

I'm back in the land of the living..

My god I havent had a flu that has knocked me off my feet this bad in years!! its been 2 weeks and i'm still not feeling 100%. How sad is that?? But hey life goes on...
What have you all missed in the past week..well to be honest not much!! Work, work and more work, and another trip to adelaide. At least this one was for pleasure and not pain (as such!!). We did a family trip to take Kloe to the zoo, with the alterior motive of mummy visiting IKEA!! When we woke up friday morning to rain rain and more rain. Hmm...do we still go?? yea sure why not! If its still raining by the time we get there we would go see a movie or something. we got to the zoo fairly dry and was there for about halfaan hour before it absolutely bucketed down. O NO!! Do we stay under shelter, wait it out or do we just leave?? We huddled under some wet dripping bamboo in the south-east asian exhibit for about 20 mins until it stopped. Then it stayed fairly nice for the rest of the day. Kloe was so funny, she was doing the zoo at 100 miles per hour!! I'm not sure if it was because the last time she went, she went wth her school ad i can imagine that they had to look at things pretty quickly to get them all around within a couple of hours, she didnt understand that we had all day today. it didnt matter how long we were there. We were very impressed with all the new bits that they have done, makes the zoo look so much nicer when the animals arent in cement cages and in a more natural (well as close to natural as you can get) surrounding. Buggered if I could see the tiger though in amongst all that plant life!!. Some nice ginger plants and palms though!!
But the best bit of all was the gorillas!!
The part I was looking most forward too and they did not disappoint me. truly stunning animals!!. For anybody who does not believe in evolution, they need to spend some time watching these amazing animals!!. There is definately some connection between them and humans!!


We ended up at the zoo for 3.5 hours. i expected to be there longer but Kloe had had enough by that time, so then it was off to find IKEA. No problems there, the place is HUGE!!!!!! with a capital H!!. i have never been to a carpark where it was so packed they had people directing you where to park!! You can tell I'm a country bumpkin hey!! Well i had a fairly good look around albeit with a 6 year old and a male in tow, wanting to know why i was looking at that??, why are we in a furniture display shop??, was i nearly finished looking???, was it nearly time to go look at harbour town???. My god I was having a ball and they werent. What was wrong with them?? we were in IKEA!!!! gave in and went to harbour town and ate some late lunch watching the planes land at the airport. very relaxing I must say!!

All I can say is thank god I'm back down there on friday of this week, and can sneak back out to IKEA and perhaps get lost!! if no one hears from me for a couple of days after friday you might want to send a search party looking for me. I could just possibly still be at IKEA!!!! LOL ;o)

Must be feeling better..I Scrapped

Well after being almost flat on my back for a week with the dreaded lurgy I went to the doctor yesterday to find out that i have Sialoadenitis. Its an inflamation of the glands in my neck. They are so swollen and infected that they have cut off my ear canal so I cant hear a thing in my left ear!! So double strength antibitics are the go and after just 3 of them I'm now able to sit upright and feel heaps better, although i still cant hear!!

i'm feeling so much better that i even managed to scrap today!! Took me all day but hey at least I got it done!!! i have used products from my new tarisota collection. it arrived on wednesday but I just wasnt up to even opening the box!! Does that tell you how sick I was?? love all this pack and wanted to use it straight away, so here it is!!
Getting photos of scott is almost as hard as getting photos of me!! But this is Kloe and scott at the triple J one night stand concert!! loving these new lines from SEI and Scenic Route. the flowers are also the new Prima range that i got from the states. Spiffy, Chi-Chi and Frou Frou. Gorgeous colours and I just love these flowers!!! Cant wait til i get get them here, so i can buy a whole bottle of them rather than just have a small sample pack of about 30!!
Kloe has been the perfect child over the past week. Although today the boredom is really kicking in!! While I've been sick she has been an angel disappearing for hours out the back in her cubby and playing with the dogs, but today after she has realized that mum's feeling better she is trying to get me to do things that I still feel I'm not quite uo to. Going to Tamatown on the computer with her this morning and watching Cheaper by the Dozen 2 this afternoon (twice!)has been about my limit!! I hope I'm feeling even better by tuesday as I promised to take her to see Ice Age 2. Sitting in a theatre with all those kids is not my idea of fun when I'm still feeling a little bit whoozzzzzyyyyyy!!! in my head! But as we missed going to see Nanny McFee last week I had better not miss IA2.
Have just found out from scott that my bosses wife has now been in labour for over 43 hours and has at long last decided that yes they can break her water to speed things up. Silly woman!! Makes me thank god that my labour only lasted 1 hour 45 minutes total from go to whoa!!
He also said that he has got Friday off so I have managed to swap a few things around and so hopefully we can do something as a family on friday. Thinking of going to Adelaide and perhaps taking Kloe to the zoo, where we havent been since she was 3. My friend nicole went today with her two sweeties and said the gorillas were fabbo. Kind of want to go visit IKEA too now that it is opened in Adelaide.
Ok think i have been sitting here for a bit long as the room is starting to sway and spin a little bit. think its back to the lounge and the fire for awhile.

Easter and the dreaded lurgy...

Well I'm back after the easter break. Although it hasnt been an overly good easter break in our household. Scott got the flu sometime last week and over easter has proceeded to give it everyone else.
I could feel it coming on saturday morning but when I woke up sunday morning I felt as if i had just done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!! Not good I tell you. to make things worse I had to work all day from 8am til 4pm. Yuk!! i was like a zombie. Scott had taken his mum to adelaide to watch the Power get their butts kicked, so Kloe had to go up my mums. Now for those who dont know my mum is a chronic asthmatic so really didnt want her to get this flu or she would end up with pneumonia and be in hospital for a month, so I just dropped Kloe off out the front on their house, bit rude on easter sunday, but i rang her once I got to work and explained the situation. Come 4 o'clock I was in a terrible state and just wanted to die.
easter monday found me worse again, but couldnt find anyone willing to do my shift, so it was off to work I go with NO VOICE!!!! horror of horrors!!! lucky it was only a short shift and i was home by midday!! i feel into bed and didnt get out until about 1pm on tuesday!! checked my emails to find over 1000 from all the groups I'm in. EEEKK!!!!
Today is now wednesday and even though i'm still not 100% at least I now have my voice back and can sit upright for longer than 10 minutes without feeling I'm on some kind of roller coaster.

Piries one night stand with triple j..

LAst night i went to one of the best things that has ever happened to Port Pirie. Triple J hosted their One Night Stand here!! Woohoo. It was Kloes first ever "rock" concert as well and from how much fun she had i'm sure it wont be her last!! She was the total "rock chick'. Sitting up on my shoulders and rocking in the mosh pit!! the acts were Sector 12 (a local band) who were surprisingly very good. then there was The Herd who did an amazing rap version of redgums classic, 'I was only 19". now i'm not a big rap fan at all but it was amazing!! it might have been the atmosphere, i dont know, but it was awesome!!!

Then the most amazing musician came on. Xavier Rudd!!. i have to be honest and say that I have NEVER heard of him before, but today, after listening to him last night, came home and blew my whole itunes card on downloading his newest album!! I was saving it for the new chili peppers album but will now have to buy another card. Its all loaded on my ipod and i'm bopping way as we speak!! then came some DJ, cant remember what his name was but we walked around and got donuts and drinks because he did nothing for me. Than at 8.40 came the part we were all waiting for THE LIVING END!! They rocked the oval!!!!We spent four songs in the mosh pit before it got a bit scary. me, all 5'3" of me with a 20kg kid on my shoulders who was rocking her heart out, getting pushed and shoved from all sides, and beside we had to leave fairly soon because she still had to go to school today! much to her disgust!! The people were packed in so tight it took us about 10 minutes to get out!! She was so angry when we had to leave and didnt speak to me the whole way home.
She has made us promise now that when the chili peppers tour next we are taking her. i agreed but had my fingers crossed!! i dont mind taking her to things like last night that was free but i'm not sure on paying for a concert ticket for a 6 year old. When the chili's toured last our tickets cost $130 each for the chili bowl (mosh pit!).

the art of relaxation 101...

i took this photo this afternoon. My god no one can relax like a cat can they!! Dont you just wish you could lay in a position like this and be comfortable?? I mean who wouldnt want to be able to twist so much that your head is nearly up your bum..honestly now!!!
Well today has been so warm that our dragon has come out from underneath his rock and is trying desperately to catch the last few rays of the sun. He is so cute in an alien reptilian kind of way!! the dogs are sprawled out on the back lawn doing the same thing. i'm sitting here having one hell of a hot flush so i feel like stripping off and go jump in the pool but its not quite that warm!!
Rang my pecialist back and the news isnt great, but at the moment I'm still trying to think positive good thoughts so am not trying to think about what she had to say much until i have to go and see her which isnt until May 3rd.
but on the good news front I had a good phone call regarding my BT from yesterday. my hormone levels are at an all time high so fingers crossed. Another injection on thursday morning and another BT then another injection on Sunday then its the waiting game for the last time. So blubbering idiot time on thursday and sunday. think I can handle it!!
i have to work tonight. ..Yuk!! But hey money is money. kloe is excited because it means that she gets to sleep up grandma and poppys. She is just a bit miffed that they dont have austar so no watching her fav shows tonight!! And hopefully i'm home in time to watch the amazing race. Can always catch it on fox8+2 I guess at 11 if i do miss it.

just have to thank Chrissy again!! I'm so loving this song. i hope you all dont mind listening to the chili peppers, but its my favourite song at the moment. i cant wait til their new double album comes out!!!

It was a better day....

I have had a much better day today, thank God!.
After last night anything could have been better!! My stomach was so bloated and so sore that i couldnt sit down. All Kloe wanted me to do was sit and watch narnia with her, even though we had already seen it at the cinema, she got it in the post on friday and SO wanted to watch it. It was impossible. Even tried watching it laying down on the bed but that was no better. Thankfully it got better as the night went on.
On a much brighter note i got to speak to the lovely Chrissy on the phone. She helped me to add the video clip you are listening to. thanks so much Chrissy!! It has made me want to go to SWIG even more now that i have actually spoken to someone.
And speaking about Scrapping i even did a page today. my March page on Kloe. I got a bit carried away with the flowers, but they kind of took on a life of their own!. I got the idea from a LO i saw on 2peas a week or so ago. I thought i had saved it but couldnt find it on my puter anywhere, so I just did it from memory!! I'm so loving that PP. Its from the basic grey baby girl range. So loving it!!! the scan isnt great because of the large 'bling' but you get the general idea!!

Hmm..change of pace!. just checked the phone for messages as I'm always forgetting to do that and there is one on there from my speciallist in adelaide. She wants me to ring her tomorrow and even gave me her mobile phone number. that cant be good... Ok the hormones are kicking back in and i'm off to have a cry while Kloe is still out the back playing.

me being miserable and depressed.....again

Well I have to say that i have had one hard day!! work was long, slow and horrible. To make things worse i had my trigger injection of 5000iu of HCG and my stomach is very bloated and sore. i feel ike a huge big baluga whale walking around. it hurts so much to sit down. It had better work this time. Last time we are doing it. if it doesnt work thats it. Kloe is forever an only child. breaks my heart but I'm doing my best. have prayed and shoot myself full of more hormones than a person can bear and its the best i can do. just doesnt seem right. But in hindsight we have been blessed with Kloe, which is more than some, so is it right to be greedy, or just be happy with what we have got? well in 14 days we will know one way or the other. Another Bt to look forward to in the morning, wowee! its pretty sad when all the girls at the lab know me now. Think I have had enough Bt's to last me a lifetime too!! my veins will not be sad to see the end of it all.
Ok Kloe is bellowing for food so I had better go and accomodate her!!

starting again...

Well i have tried doing a blog before but it kind of went by the way side so here i go trying again. I used to keep a diary religiously as a kid so i dont know why i find it so hard to now add something to this every couple of days. hopefully i will be a good girl this time and try and keep it going for longer than a couple of posts!! fingers crossed.

i love reading everyone elses and so hopefully people will find mine a little bit interesting as well..

Well i'll have to play a bit later, its time to take Kloe up grandmas and go to work..boo hoo. Not fair!!
